Hello Parents and Students,
We are accepting Ads for the Fall 2023 Home Show Ad Book to allow all students an opportunity to sell ads.
The entire amount from the sale of these ads will be applied towards your student account and the amount is tax deductible!
We have attached the Indoor Season Ad Form which will explain the ad sizes and prices. THIS FORM IS A FILLABlE PDF!

Please submit all artwork with the form.


Please send a check to the school office, addressed to Mr. Miller’s attention.
The check should be made out to “Bunnell Marching Band” and the ad forms should be enclosed.
Please do not pay with cash.


Ads can be for a business, or they can be created to encourage the students. However, please — no Ads from Tobacco, Liquor, or Firearms, as well as no Ads regarding Religion or Politics.

Fun Facts:

- ads can be sold to business and individuals
- ads are 100% tax deductible
- any ads sold AFTER the initial $450 will go towards your future band trip(s) and Band Obligations!
- Go to places in Stratford — the Green, Main Street, The Rotary, Lordship, Honeyspot,
Hawley Lane, Shelton Square, Devon.

- Go to Doctor Offices, Dental and Ortho Offices, Insurance Sales, Real Estate Agents,
local (not chain) restaurants, Auto Body shops,

- Avoid Liquor Stores and Smoke Shops & firearms shops
- Avoid National Chains like Home Depot or Stop and Shop etc…

Ad-book Protocol:
1. PLEASE sell ads immediately — the band needs operating funds as soon as the summer begins, as the staff etc… are designing the show now!
2. Please turn all ads in AS SOON AS YOU GET THEM! there is an address on the form that you will send all ads and checks to…
3. All students SHOULD sell $450 in ads. This will completely satisfy your Fall 2023 Student Fund Raising Obligation! There will be additional fundraisers that students can access to satisfy their fund raising, but this is the biggest and fastest way to meet your goal. Other fundraisers will be announced in a forth coming email. Any student NOT completing the $450 using these fund raisers MUST satisfy the difference with their own personal funds.
4. Deadline for all ads is September 27, 2023
5. Any person or business who purchases an ad will receive a tax deduction on their 2022 tax return, as the Band Parents are a 501c3 Not For Profit organization.
6. Please email the ad-book form to friends relatives and business associates out of state as well.

Ad Book Tips

The Ad book is the BIGGEST fundraiser of the year…
Did you know that Ads can be from a person? Like a relative?
Think of the Ad-book like a Yearbook for the Band. Many relatives will purchase “Good Luck” ads for their Band Member — this way — they can get the potential Tax deduction.
Businesses aren’t the only place to sell your ads.
Ad’s can be from anywhere. Not just businesses in Stratford!
Here’s a sample letter that you can send to EVERYONE in your address book —
just copy and paste and edit for your needs!
….you never know until you ask!!!

Please start selling your ads NOW!
Directions below — please respond to this email with any questions.
So…
Attach the ad-form to an email and send it to EVERYONE in your Family, Friends, Business address book. Please compose a short email — Please ask for a donation of $100 for 1/2 page or $150 for a full page. Please let them know that ANY donation they give is tax deductible. Please let them know that, even though they are a family or friend and not a business, they can still place an “ad” in the book such as “Good Luck Susie Clarinet in 2023 — from Aunt Mildred” and potentially receive a tax deduction. Susie gets the ad money towards her fund raising goal and Aunt Mildred gets a tax deduction, and depending on her situation, she may even get all of the money back! Please also let them know that all ads are due September 27, 2023
but you need the ads to complete your band operations obligation.

Example — if a student were to sell 3 full page ads — that would completely fulfill their Band Operations Obligation.

Hello Friends and Family….

“Bunnell Band Program Book” The Bunnell Band is sponsoring our yearly fund raiser again — the “Bunnell Cavalcade of Bands Program Book”.
The Ad-Book is really more like a “Yearbook” for the band. There are photos and many well wishes from families and friends.
The Adbook is available for sale at the Cavacade of Bands Band Competition on October 21, 2023, and is seen by hundreds of fans. Each ad purchased will go directly to defray the cost of operating the Bunnell Band, which — like most High School Bands in the United States — we have to raise all or part of our operating expenses.
Please help in any way you can! Even $25 will go a long way!
